Refunds & cancellation. What comes back, and how to cancel.

Last updated October 4, 2026Operator details will be published before launch.

1. The short version

  • If writing a book fails, its credits come back to your balance automatically. You never have to ask.
  • If something you paid for isn't right, email support@superebook.ai and a person will look at it, case by case.
  • You can cancel a plan anytime. You keep it until the end of the period you've paid for, and your credits never expire.
  • Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, and refunds go back to your original payment method.

2. Credits that come back automatically

If something you spent credits on doesn't deliver, the credits go straight back to your balance:

  • Writing a book — if it fails before every chapter is written, every credit reserved for it comes back.
  • Web research — if the research step finds nothing usable, its surcharge comes back, and the book is written without it.
  • Regenerating a chapter, or asking for more cover options — if it fails, its credits come back.
  • Rewriting a passage with AI — if the rewrite fails, its credit comes back; if a researched rewrite finds nothing, the research part does.

Once every chapter of a book is written, the book is delivered and its writing credits are spent. If a later step — the cover or a file — runs into trouble, you keep the book; tell us if something is wrong with it.

Planning a book (titles, the brief and the outline) never costs credits, so there is nothing to refund there.

3. Refunds of payments

If a finished book genuinely misses the mark, if you were charged for something you didn't mean to buy, or if a renewal caught you out, email support@superebook.ai from the address on your account, saying what you bought and what went wrong. A person reviews every request, case by case.

Approved refunds are issued by Dodo Payments to your original payment method. How long they take to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.

When a payment is refunded — or reversed through a chargeback — what it paid for is reversed too: the credits it added come off your balance (never below zero), a refunded subscription moves your account to the Free plan, and any downloads it bought are withdrawn. Books you wrote stay readable in the app.

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.

4. Cancelling a subscription

Cancel anytime: Billing → Manage billing opens the billing portal, run by Dodo Payments, where you can also switch plans, update your card, and download invoices.

Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan. The credits already in your balance stay yours — they never expire, and you can keep writing with them.

Cancelling doesn't refund the current period by itself. If you need a refund for it, email us (see §3).

5. Deleting your account

Deleting your account (Settings → Danger zone) cancels any active subscription immediately, rather than at the end of the period. The unused part of the period, and any unused credits, are not refunded automatically.

If you'd like a refund, email us — before or after you delete. We keep the payment records a refund needs, even after an account is deleted (see the Privacy Policy).

6. Who processes your payment

Purchases are sold and processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: Dodo takes the payment, issues the receipt or invoice, handles sales tax, VAT, or GST, and carries out refunds and chargebacks. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo's own terms. Our Terms of Service cover the rest.
