Write your book from Claude, ChatGPT or any AI app. Connect once, then ask in plain words.
SuperEbook’s MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor and the other apps below plan and write books in your SuperEbook account. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard these apps use to work with other services.
Connecting apps comes with SuperEbook’s Starter, Pro or any credit pack. Planning is free. Writing costs the same credits as in SuperEbook itself, and your app is told to quote the price and wait for your yes before it writes.

How it works
Connect once.
Follow the guide for your app, above. You allow it on SuperEbook’s own page, once, or paste an API key.Ask for a book.
Say what it’s about and who it’s for. Paste notes, a transcript or a draft, and the book is written from them.Shape the free plan.
Your app shows you title ideas, a short brief and the chapters, and changes them with you. Planning costs nothing.Agree to the price.
Your app is told to quote what writing the book costs in credits and to wait for your yes before it starts. Writing takes 10 to 40 minutes and carries on if you close the chat.
Read it, then get the files.
Reading every chapter in SuperEbook is free. Ask your app for the PDF, EPUB and DOCX links when you want them.
What your app can do
Each tool acts as you, on your own books, and all but one are free: only Write the book spends credits. Your app picks the tools itself; when it asks to use one, it shows one of the names below.

Credits and limits
Planning is free. Writing a book costs the same credits as in SuperEbook itself:
| Format | Chapters | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Lead Magnet | 5–7 | 25 |
| Research Report | 8–12 | 30 |
| How-To Guide | 10–12 | 35 |
| Interactive Workbook | 10–15 | 35 |
| Course Companion | 15–20 | 45 |
A coloring book costs 3 credits a page, or 4 with the same characters on every page, for 12 to 50 pages: 12 pages are 36 credits.
Web research while writing adds 5 credits. Connecting apps comes with SuperEbook’s Starter, Pro or any credit pack; plans and pricing has the rest.
Downloads follow SuperEbook’s own rule: a paid plan includes them, or you can pay for one book’s files on its page. Your app gives you the link; it can’t take a payment itself. Reading a book in SuperEbook is always free.
Limits for connected apps
These apply only to apps, on top of SuperEbook’s own rules, and count per account unless they say otherwise.
- Books apps can start writing
- 5 books, or 150 credits’ worth, in any 24 hours
- Drafts apps can create
- 20 a day
- Notes you paste
- 100,000 characters a book; add longer files in SuperEbook itself
- Plans
- 15 a day, and 5 for any one book: SuperEbook’s own limit
- Requests
- 60 a minute for each connection, 600 an hour for your account
- Download links
- 60 an hour; each link works for 15 minutes
- API keys
- 5 at a time, and 10 new ones an hour
- Connected apps
- 20 at a time; connecting one more disconnects the oldest
What an app can see
Before you allow an app, SuperEbook’s page lists what it will be able to do, and nothing more:
- See your books and their plans, the plan you’re on and your credit balance
- Create and plan books — free
- Write a book with your credits — it’s told to quote the price and wait for your yes
- Get download links for books you’ve unlocked
It never gets your name or email address, and it can only reach your own books. Notes it sends for a book are kept like notes you add in SuperEbook: private to your account, and never used to train AI models.
What an app fetches from us goes to that app and its provider, under their terms, and what you type in a chat is covered by that app’s own settings. Our privacy policy has the details.
Disconnecting
Settings → Connect apps lists every app you’ve connected and every API key. Disconnect an app or revoke a key and it stops working at once: every call is checked. Books an app made stay in your library.
Removing SuperEbook from an app stops that app using it. To end the connection on our side as well, disconnect it in Settings; otherwise it runs out after 30 days unused. Deleting your SuperEbook account removes every key and connection.
If something goes wrong
Your app tells you what went wrong in its own words, and may name a code. The usual ones, and what to do:
- “Connecting apps isn’t switched on yet.”
- Connecting apps is switched off on SuperEbook’s side for now. Nothing in your settings changes that; try again later.
- The app can’t connect, or signing in fails
- Check that the server URL is exactly https://www.superebook.ai/api/mcp, with www: the address without www can’t sign you in.
- “Verify your email address first”
- Sign in to SuperEbook with a code sent to your email, or with Google, which verifies it. Then try again.
- “SuperEbook’s MCP tools come with Starter, Pro or any credit pack.”
MCP_PLAN_REQUIRED - The Free plan doesn’t include them. Your app is given the link to upgrade; once you have, the apps you connected work again, with nothing to reconnect.
- Not enough credits
INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS - Nothing was charged. Your app is given the link to add credits; once you have, ask it to start again.
- A daily limit
DAILY_LIMIT - Apps can start at most 5 books, or 150 credits’ worth, in any 24 hours. Keep writing in SuperEbook itself, or ask again later: your app is told how long to wait.
- Too many requests
RATE_LIMITED - Wait a little and ask again. Your app is told how long.
- Downloads need a paid plan
PAYMENT_REQUIRED - Downloads follow SuperEbook’s own rule: a paid plan includes them, or you can pay for that book’s files on its page. Your app gives you the link; it can’t take a payment itself. Reading the book in SuperEbook stays free.
- Your app asks about the price again
CONFIRMATION_REQUIRED - The app sent a price that isn’t the book’s current one, so nothing was charged. It now has the right price and asks you again; agree to it to start.
- The book is already being written
ALREADY_STARTED - Nothing was charged this time. Ask your app how far it has got.
- “… belongs to someone else, so we can't put it in your coloring book.”
IP_BLOCKED - Coloring books can’t use characters or names from films, shows, games or brands. Ask for an original character instead; nothing was charged.
- It worked, then stopped
- A connection unused for 30 days runs out, and one you disconnect in Settings ends at once. Connect again.
- “Something went wrong on our side.”
INTERNAL - Try again in a moment. If it keeps happening, write to support@superebook.ai.
Each guide adds what can go wrong in its app. Still stuck? Write to us and say which app you use; a code such as DAILY_LIMIT helps.
