Add SuperEbook to Claude. On the web and in the desktop app.

Add SuperEbook as a custom connector and Claude can plan and write books in your SuperEbook account from any chat. You sign in to SuperEbook once; there’s no key to copy.

Paste it exactly as it is, with www.

Claude app connects to SuperEbook over MCP by signing in.

Before you start

  • A SuperEbook account with Starter, Pro or any credit pack. SuperEbook’s Free plan doesn’t include connecting apps: see plans.
  • A Claude plan that allows custom connectors. Anthropic lists Free (one custom connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.
  • On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector first: see Team and Enterprise.

Add it to Claude

  1. Open Customize → Connectors.

In Claude on the web or in the desktop app. Settings → Connectors points you there too.
  2. Choose + Add, then Add custom connector.

  3. Name it SuperEbook, paste the server URL and choose Continue.

  4. Set how it signs in, then choose Add.

Claude fills in the sign-in settings it detected. Change them where they differ:

    • Authentication: choose Sign in now.
    • OAuth client: choose Register automatically. Claude marks its published identity as Recommended, but SuperEbook doesn’t accept it yet.
    • Request headers: leave them empty.

An older version of this dialog shows Advanced settings instead: leave its OAuth fields empty.

  5. Allow it on SuperEbook.

SuperEbook’s page opens. Sign in if it asks, check that it says “Connect Claude to SuperEbook?” and that you’ll go back to claude.ai, then choose Allow. Claude shows SuperEbook as connected.

You add it once: a connector belongs to your Claude account, so it’s there on the web and in the desktop app alike.

Use it in a chat

Turn SuperEbook on for a chat: choose + at the lower left of the chat box, then Connectors, and switch SuperEbook on. Then ask for a book:

  • “Use SuperEbook to plan a lead magnet about meal prep for new parents.”
  • “Here are my workshop notes: … Turn them into a how-to guide with SuperEbook, and show me the chapters first.”
  • “How many SuperEbook credits do I have, and what would a workbook cost?”
  • “How far along is my book? Send me the download links when it’s ready.”

Claude shows you the plan, changes it with you and tells you the price before it writes. Writing takes 10 to 40 minutes and carries on if you close the chat.

Keep the price check on

Write the book is the only one of SuperEbook’s tools that spends credits, so keep it needing your approval. When Claude asks to use it, check that it has told you the price, and don’t choose Allow always: Anthropic advises that only for a tool you trust to run unsupervised.

If SuperEbook’s settings in Customize → Connectors show Tool permissions, set Write the book to Needs approval there. On Team and Enterprise, an owner sets these for the whole organization and members can’t change them: see Team and Enterprise.

Whatever the settings, apps can start at most 5 books, or 150 credits’ worth, in any 24 hours. Credits and limits has the rest.

Team and Enterprise

  1. An owner adds it once, for everyone.

Organization settings → Connectors → Add, then Custom → Web. Name it SuperEbook, paste the server URL and choose Continue. Keep sign-in on, choose Register automatically for the OAuth client, and choose Add.
  2. Leave its request headers empty.

An API key there would make every member use the one SuperEbook account it belongs to, and its credits.
  3. Set Write the book to Needs approval.

In Customize → Connectors, select SuperEbook to see its Tool permissions, and choose Needs approval for Write the book, the only tool that spends credits. It applies to everyone in the organization, and members can’t change it themselves.
  4. Each member connects their own account.

Customize → Connectors, find SuperEbook (marked Custom) and choose Connect, then sign in to your own SuperEbook account and choose Allow.

If it doesn’t work

There’s no Add custom connector
Your Claude plan or workspace may not allow one: Free allows a single custom connector, and on Team and Enterprise only an owner can add one.
SuperEbook’s page says “This link doesn’t work”
The connector may be using Claude’s published identity, which SuperEbook doesn’t accept yet. Remove it in Customize → Connectors, add it again and choose Register automatically.
“This link has expired” or “This link was already used”
A sign-in link works once, within 30 minutes. Go back to Claude and choose Connect again.
The page asks to connect an app at another address
SuperEbook warns when the address it would send you back to isn’t Claude’s. If you didn’t start connecting from that address yourself, choose Cancel.
SuperEbook’s tools don’t show up in a chat
Turn the connector on for that chat: + at the lower left of the chat box, then Connectors, then SuperEbook.

For credits, limits and the other messages Claude may relay, see if something goes wrong.

More about connecting

Questions, answered plainly.

Still have a question? Write to the team.

No. Anthropic lists custom connectors on Claude’s Free plan as well as Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise, but Free allows only one custom connector.

Yes. The steps are the same in the desktop app, and connectors belong to your Claude account, so you add SuperEbook once, on the web or in the app.

That’s how SuperEbook signs Claude in: Claude registers itself the first time it connects. SuperEbook doesn’t accept Claude’s published identity yet, so a connector set up with it can’t sign in.

Yes, each with their own SuperEbook account: an owner adds the connector once, then each member chooses Connect and signs in. Leave the connector’s request headers empty. An API key there would let every member use the one account it belongs to.

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and disconnect or remove SuperEbook. In SuperEbook, Settings → Connect apps → Disconnect ends the connection at once, whatever Claude does.
