Add SuperEbook to Le Chat. Mistral’s Vibe, in Work mode.
Le Chat is now Mistral Vibe, at the same address with the same login. Add SuperEbook as a custom MCP connector in Work mode and Vibe can plan and write books in your SuperEbook account. You sign in to SuperEbook once; there’s no key to copy.
Server URL
https://www.superebook.ai/api/mcpPaste it exactly as it is, with www.
Before you start
- A SuperEbook account with Starter, Pro or any credit pack. SuperEbook’s Free plan doesn’t include connecting apps: see plans.
- You add it as an administrator. Custom connectors are admin-only. On the Free, Pro and Student plans, the account owner is the administrator; on Team or Enterprise, ask yours.
- Plans. Mistral launched custom MCP connectors for all Le Chat users, the Free plan included, in September 2025. It doesn’t say which plans include them now.
- Work mode, on the web. Use Vibe at chat.mistral.ai in Work mode. Mistral doesn’t describe adding a connector on mobile. Chat mode is being phased out.
Add it in Vibe
Not yet tested with Vibe. These are Mistral’s steps, and SuperEbook should work with them, but nobody has connected it from Vibe yet. If a step goes differently, tell us.
Open the Connectors page from the sidebar.
Choose + Add Connector, then the Custom MCP Connector tab.
Fill in the form.
Connector name:
SuperEbook, with no spaces or special characters. Server URL:https://www.superebook.ai/api/mcp, with www. The description is optional. If the form shows OAuth client ID or secret fields, leave them empty.Choose Connect.
Vibe detects the sign-in method itself. For SuperEbook that’s OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration.
Allow it on SuperEbook.
Sign in to SuperEbook if it asks. SuperEbook’s page asks “Connect an app at …?” with Mistral’s web address, and warns that it isn’t a Claude address: SuperEbook trusts only Claude’s own addresses and your computer, so every other app gets this warning. If you started connecting from Mistral yourself, tick the box that says so (“I started connecting from … myself.”) and choose Allow.
Turn it on in a chat.
Choose + or type /, select Tools, then switch on SuperEbook. Then ask for a book.
Vibe has no config file: these are the form’s values.
Connector name: SuperEbook Server URL: https://www.superebook.ai/api/mcp Description: optional Authentication: detected for you (OAuth 2.1)
Approving its functions
Work asks for your approval before a connector acts on your behalf: Continue, Always allow or Decline. You can also pre-authorize single functions: Connectors → My Connectors, select the connector’s card, then the Functions tab, and switch on Always allow.
Mistral suggests pre-authorizing functions that read and keeping those that act on manual approval. For SuperEbook, never choose Always allow for start_writing, Write the book: its approval is your check that you agreed to the price.
Try it
Once it’s connected, ask for a book in plain words. Planning is free, and the app is told to quote the price and wait for your yes before it writes.
- “Use SuperEbook to plan a workbook on budgeting for students.”
- “Show me the chapters SuperEbook planned, and swap the last two.”
- “How many SuperEbook credits do I have left today?”
- “Has my book finished writing?”
If it doesn’t work
- There’s no + Add Connector, or no Custom MCP Connector tab
- Custom connectors are admin-only. On Team or Enterprise, ask your administrator to add it or give you the rights.
- Vibe won’t take the connector’s name
- Use a name with no spaces or special characters, such as SuperEbook.
- Vibe can’t connect
- Check the Server URL is exactly https://www.superebook.ai/api/mcp, with www. If it still fails, tell us: Vibe hasn’t been tried with SuperEbook yet.
- You chose Cancel, and SuperEbook’s page says “Cancelled. You can close this tab.”
- Vibe isn’t told you cancelled: SuperEbook sends answers back only to Claude and to apps on your own computer. Close the tab and start connecting again from Vibe.
For credits, limits and the other messages an app may relay, see if something goes wrong.
